পরম কল্যাণময় তিনি যিনি তাঁর বান্দার প্রতি ফয়সালার গ্রন্থ অবর্তীণ করেছেন, যাতে সে বিশ্বজগতের জন্যে সতর্ককারী হয়,।
Blessed be He Who sent down the criterion (of right and wrong, i.e. this Qur’ân) to His slave (Muhammad SAW) that he may be a warner to the ’Alamîn (mankind and jinns).
তিনি হলেন যাঁর রয়েছে নভোমন্ডল ও ভূমন্ডলের রাজত্ব। তিনি কোন সন্তান গ্রহণ করেননি। রাজত্বে তাঁর কোন অংশীদার নেই। তিনি প্রত্যেক বস্তু সৃষ্টি করেছেন, অতঃপর তাকে শোধিত করেছেন পরিমিতভাবে।
He to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and Who has begotten no son (children or offspring) and for Whom there is no partner in the dominion. He has created everything, and has measured it exactly according to its due measurements.
তারা তাঁর পরিবর্তে কত উপাস্য গ্রহণ করেছে, যারা কিছুই সৃষ্টি করে না এবং তারা নিজেরাই সৃষ্ট এবং নিজেদের ভালও করতে পারে না, মন্দও করতে পারে না এবং জীবন, মরণ ও পুনরুজ্জীবনের ও তারা মালিক নয়।
Yet they have taken besides Him other âlihâ (gods) that created nothing but are themselves created, and possess neither hurt nor benefit for themselves, and possess no power (of causing) death, nor (of giving) life, nor of raising the dead.
কাফেররা বলে, এটা মিথ্যা বৈ নয়, যা তিনি উদ্ভাবন করেছেন এবং অন্য লোকেরা তাঁকে সাহায্য করেছে। অবশ্যই তারা অবিচার ও মিথ্যার আশ্রয় নিয়েছে।
Those who disbelieve say: ”This (the Qur’ân) is nothing but a lie that he (Muhammad SAW) has invented, and others have helped him at it, so that they have produced an unjust wrong (thing) and a lie.”
বলুন, একে তিনিই অবতীর্ণ করেছেন, যিনি নভোমন্ডল ও ভূমন্ডলের গোপন রহস্য অবগত আছেন। তিনি ক্ষমাশীল, মেহেরবান।
Say: ”It (this Qur’ân) has been sent down by Him (Allâh) (the Real Lord of the heavens and earth) Who knows the secret of the heavens and the earth. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
তারা বলে, এ কেমন রসূল যে, খাদ্য আহার করে এবং হাটে-বাজারে চলাফেরা করে? তাঁর কাছে কেন কোন ফেরেশতা নাযিল করা হল না যে, তাঁর সাথে সতর্ককারী হয়ে থাকত?
And they say: ”Why does this Messenger (Muhammad SAW) eat food, and walk about in the markets (like ourselves). Why is not an angel sent down to him to be a warner with him?
অথবা তিনি ধন-ভান্ডার প্রাপ্ত হলেন না কেন, অথবা তাঁর একটি বাগান হল না কেন, যা থেকে তিনি আহার করতেন? জালেমরা বলে, তোমরা তো একজন জাদুগ্রস্ত ব্যক্তিরই অনুসরণ করছ।
”Or (why) has not a treasure been granted to him, or why has he not a garden whereof he may eat?” And the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.) say: ”You follow none but a man bewitched.”
কল্যানময় তিনি, যিনি ইচ্ছা করলে আপনাকে তদপেক্ষা উত্তম বস্তু দিতে পারেন-বাগ-বাগিচা, যার তলদেশে নহর প্রবাহিত হয় এবং দিতে পারেন আপনাকে প্রাসাদসমূহ।
Blessed be He Who, if He will, will assign you better than (all) that, - Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise) and will assign you palaces (i.e. in Paradise).
বলুন এটা উত্তম, না চিরকাল বসবাসের জান্নাত, যার সুসংবাদ দেয়া হয়েছে মুত্তাকীদেরকে? সেটা হবে তাদের প্রতিদান ও প্রত্যাবর্তন স্থান।
Say: (O Muhammad SAW) ”Is that (torment) better or the Paradise of Eternity promised to the Muttaqûn (pious and righteous persons - see V.2:2)?” It will be theirs as a reward and as a final destination.
তারা চিরকাল বসবাসরত অবস্থায় সেখানে যা চাইবে, তাই পাবে। এই প্রার্থিত ওয়াদা পূরণ আপনার পালনকর্তার দায়িত্ব।
For them there will be therein all that they desire, and they will abide (there forever). It is a promise binding upon your Lord that must be fulfilled.
সেদিন আল্লাহ একত্রিত করবেন তাদেরকে এবং তারা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে যাদের এবাদত করত তাদেরকে, সেদিন তিনি উপাস্যদেরকে বলবেন, তোমরাই কি আমার এই বান্দাদেরকে পথভ্রান্ত করেছিলে, না তারা নিজেরাই পথভ্রান্ত হয়েছিল?
And on the Day when He will gather them together and that which they worship besides Allâh [idols, angels, pious men, saints, ’Iesa (Jesus) son of Maryam (Mary), etc.]. He will say: ”Was it you who misled these My slaves or did they (themselves) stray from the (Right) Path?”
তারা বলবে-আপনি পবিত্র, আমরা আপনার পরিবর্তে অন্যকে মুরুব্বীরূপে গ্রহণ করতে পারতাম না; কিন্তু আপনিই তো তাদেরকে এবং তাদের পিতৃপুরুষদেরকে ভোগসম্ভার দিয়েছিলেন, ফলে তারা আপনার স্মৃতি বিস্মৃত হয়েছিল এবং তারা ছিল ধ্বংসপ্রাপ্ত জাতি।
They will say: ”Glorified be You! It was not for us to take any Auliyâ’ (Protectors, Helpers, etc.) besides You, but You gave them and their fathers comfort till they forgot the warning, and became a lost people (doomed to total loss).
আল্লাহ মুশরিকদেরকে বলবেন, তোমাদের কথা তো তারা মিথ্যা সাব্যস্ত করল, এখন তোমরা শাস্তি প্রতিরোধ করতে পারবে না এবং সাহায্যও করতে পারবে না। তোমাদের মধ্যে যে গোনাহগার আমি তাকে গুরুতর শাস্তি আস্বাদন করাব।
Thus they (false gods all deities other than Allâh) will give you (polytheists) the lie regarding what you say (that they are gods besides Allâh), then you can neither avert (the punishment), nor get help. And whoever among you does wrong (i.e. sets up rivals to Allâh), We shall make him taste a great torment.
আপনার পূর্বে যত রসূল প্রেরণ করেছি, তারা সবাই খাদ্য গ্রহণ করত এবং হাটে-বাজারে চলাফেরা করত। আমি তোমাদের এককে অপরের জন্যে পরীক্ষাস্বরূপ করেছি। দেখি, তোমরা সবর কর কিনা। আপনার পালনকর্তা সব কিছু দেখেন।
And We never sent before you (O Muhammad SAW) any of the Messengers but verily, they ate food and walked in the markets. And We have made some of you as a trial for others: will you have patience? And your Lord is Ever All-Seer (of everything).
যারা আমার সাক্ষাৎ আশা করে না, তারা বলে, আমাদের কাছে ফেরেশতা অবতীর্ণ করা হল না কেন? অথবা আমরা আমাদের পালনকর্তাকে দেখি না কেন? তারা নিজেদের অন্তরে অহংকার পোষণ করে এবং গুরুতর অবাধ্যতায় মেতে উঠেছে।
And those who expect not for a Meeting with Us (i.e. those who deny the Day of Resurrection and the life of the Hereafter), say: ”Why are not the angels sent down to us, or why do we not see our Lord?” Indeed they think too highly of themselves, and are scornful with great pride.
যেদিন তারা ফেরেশতাদেরকে দেখবে, সেদিন অপরাধীদের জন্যে কোন সুসংবাদ থাকবে না এবং তারা বলবে, কোন বাধা যদি তা আটকে রাখত।
On the Day they will see the angels, no glad tidings will there be for the Mujrimûn (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, etc.) that day. And they (angels) will say: ”All kinds of glad tidings are forbidden for you,” [None will be allowed to enter Paradise except the one who said: Lâ ilâha ill-Allâh, ”(none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh) and acted practically on its legal orders and obligations].
আমি তাদের কৃতকর্মের প্রতি মনোনিবেশ করব, অতঃপর সেগুলোকে বিক্ষিপ্ত ধুলিকণারূপে করে দেব।
And We shall turn to whatever deeds they (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, etc.) did, and We shall make such deeds as scattered floating particles of dust.
সেদিন জান্নাতীদের বাসস্থান হবে উত্তম এবং বিশ্রামস্থল হবে মনোরম।
The dwellers of Paradise (i.e. those who deserved it through their Faith and righteousness) will, on that Day, have the best abode, and have the fairest of places for repose.
